Read/write command that returns or sets the feedback counter value (28-bit value)

ASCII/Standalone                E[axis]

Syntax:                        

Read:

E[axis]                

Where:        [axis] is set to X, Y, Z, U


Write:

E[axis]=[value]                 

Where:        [axis] is set to X, Y, Z, U, 

[value]specifies the encoder counter value  (-134,217,728 to +134,217,727)

Reply: 

Command is accepted and executed

Read:         

Returns the value of the [axis] feedback counter.


Write:           

OK


Command cannot be processed

       An error message is returned. See Error Codes

Example: 

Read:        

EX                * Returns feedback counter value of X axis


Write:        

EY=0                 * Sets the Y-axis encoder counter to 0


Notes:

  • Valid encoder counter values are 28-bit numbers between -134,217,728 to +134,217,727
