MPM – Manual Pulse Generator Multiplier
Read/Write command that returns/sets the multiplication factor of the manual pulse generator input signal.
Applies to: CMD-4CR, CMD-4EX-SA
ASCII MPM[axis]
Standalone MPGM
Syntax:
Read:
MPM[axis]
Where: [axis] is set to X, Y, Z, U |
Write:
MPM[axis]=[mpm]
Where: [axis] is set to X, Y, Z, U [mpm] represents the multiplication factor (1 – 32) |
Reply:
Command is accepted and executed
Read:
Returns the multiplication factor of the manual pulse generator for the specified axis.
Write:
OK
Command cannot be processed
An error message is returned. See Error Codes
Example:
Read:
MPMY * Returns the multiplication factor of the manual pulse generator for the Y axis
Write:
MPMY=5 * Set the multiplication factor of the manual pulse generator to 5 for the Y axis.
Notes:
- When MPM is used to increase the pulses output by the MPG, these additional pulses are at the speed set by the HSPD.
