This command is used to stop axis operation immediately. This command is write-only.  It is possible to stop each axis separately, or all axes at once.


Applies to: CMD-4CR, CMD-4EX-SA, PMX-4EX-SA, PMX-4ET-SA, PMX-2ED-SA, PMX-2EX


ASCII/Standalone                ABORT           global abort

ABORT[axis]           individual axis abort

Syntax:

Write:

ABORT[axis]  

Where:        [axis] is set to X, Y, Z, U, or not specified to affect all axis

Reply:

Command is accepted and executed

Write:           

OK


Command cannot be processed

       An error message is returned. See Error Codes

Example: 

                       ABORTX        *Stop X axis immediately

                       ABORT                *Stop all axes immediately

Notes:

  • If an interpolation operation is in progress when a STOP[axis] or ABORT[axis] command is entered, all axes involved in the interpolation operation will stop. 
  • Abort of X, Y, or Z axis disables buffer operation. Use BO command to turn buffer mode back on.
  • Abort disables MPG (pulser) operation.
  • Abort  of the  X or Y axis disables Joystick operation, and the Joystick settings are reset.
