If multiple devices are connected to a single host, then each device should have a unique identification number. This will allow the host to differentiate between multiple controllers. This is applicable to all communication types.

The default value for ID is 01.  It is possible to assign any ID number to any device in the range [00-99] by using ID=[01-99]. To save a modified identification number to the flash memory of the CMD-4CR, use the STORE command. After a power cycle, the new identification number will be used.
