CMD-2EX-SA — 2-Axis Standalone Controller with Integrated Drivers

The CMD-2EX-SA is a two-axis standalone motion controller with a Commander motion controller (Nippon Pulse PCL6046 pulse-control LSI) built onto the board. It generates pulse, direction and enable signals for two external stepper or servo drives, reads a differential incremental encoder on each axis, and provides sixteen optically isolated field inputs and eight isolated outputs. Standalone programs are stored in on-board flash and run without a PC attached. A 32-bit Arm Cortex-M33 microcontroller handles the host interfaces, program execution and I/O.

The unit ships in a powder-coated steel enclosure. Logic power, RS-485 and USB are on the front panel; the machine I/O and the encoder/control signals leave on two 50-way ribbon headers, which break out to screw terminals on the JBD-50 breakout board (ordered separately).
