Here is a repository of firmware for the Commander series of products, along with a description of the changes.

  • Click the links below to go to the download page for the firmware files. Nippon Pulse recommends version V303BL firmware.

For Generation 3 and 4 Commanders you can use V1xx series or V2xx series of firmware only.  

Generation 3 and 4 Commanders have a red NPA logo, as seen in the picture to the right. Generation 3 and 4 CMD-4CR without an enclosure can be identified by the large (24x24mm) ASIC (NPM PCL6045BL) on the right side.


V1xx series was a Single-Threaded bare metal system firmware.

V2xx series was a Multi-Threaded Real Time Operating System firmware.

  • Versions using Multi-Threaded Real Time Operating System  V2xx series


Generation 5 Commanders can only use V3xx series firmware. 

Generation 5 Commanders have a laser engraved NPA logo, two mounting screw holes, and will have a green LED when power is applied, as seen in the picture to the right. Generation 5 Commander's without an enclosure can be identified by the small (12x12mm) ASIC (NPM PCL6046) on the right side.
